Starting point is the Gasthaus Bärenbad (1450m). There are bus services or you can use your own car – but then tollgate.
Follow the street until the old Bärenbad inn on the right-hand side, this is where the hiking trail begins. This path leads you to the dam of the Zillergründl reservoir (up to here it would also be possible to take the public bus). This way leads you to the Staumauer of the Zillergründl Speicher (to here it’s also able to take the public service bus). Now you have to go through the tunnel and on the riverside street along till there’s a new way. You have to keep going left to a way following to the Plauener Hütte (2364m).
If you want to use the cable car to transport your luggage, you have to continue on the gravel road until you reach the material cable car. There’s the old way along to the Plauener Hütte.
