You get from Mayrhofen by public transport or by car to the Gasthaus Breitlahner (1257m). There is a parking area, which you have to pay. From there you cross the bridge through the forest. You walk by the Klausenalm and keep going to the Schwemmalm (1350m). Follow the road - over some curves you reach the Grawandhütte (1636m). Keep going on till you are at the Alpenrose (1873m) At this hut the agricultural road stops and a narrow path takes you up to the Berlinerhütte (2040m).
