Turn left from the top terminal of the Ahornbahn cable car and follow trail number 42a in direction Filzenkogel (2227m) (you can see the peak). After lots of winding bends, you are going to have a beautiful view over whole Mayrhofen. If you keep going, the trail is almost flat, after which you walk upwards beneath the Filzenschneide and on to the Edelhütte which you are already able to see (2238m). You always have the highest peak within sight here - the Ahornspitze (2973m).
