A scenic, beautifully hike takes you up to the border of Austria and Italy. The starting point is at the last stop of the public transport bus (Schlegeis). You can also drive up with your own car (reservoir Schlegeis). Immediately after the bridge you turn right while crossing the kiosk “Zamsgatterl”. After an hour walking you come to the Lavitzalm (2090m) and shortly afterwards to the head of the valley. From here the stony and steep trail starts which is called “Jochschinder”. After a 15-minute walk you will reach a toll station (border). Follow the path up to the Pfitscherjochhaus. Here you have a wonderful overview!
If you want to avoid the steep “Jochschinder”, follow the agricultural road up to the Pfitscherjochhaus (2275m).
