The starting point of this roundtrip is at the train station Mayrhofen. Cross the railways and pass the bakery Eberharter. Go straight ahead to the promenade near the Ziller. Continue right towards the bridge for a few metres along the road. After the bridge turn right again. After the Gasthof Zillertal the ascent begins to the Gasthaus Zimmereben (853m) on the Huterlanersteig path no. 2c. The path is very steep and at some parts are steps up. Suddenly you get out of the wood and you come to a mountain meadow, where you also can see the Gasthaus Zimmereben.
For the return way we recommend you to go through the path no. 2. Here you come out at Kreuzlau. From the Gasthaus Zimmereben go straight ahead. After a few minutes you come through a little chapel “Holy Antonius”. The trail takes you to a street where you turn left and you go back to the bridge along the river “Ziller”.
